Three Legged Dog Picnic!

Our Mission:

To organize a community-inclusive event celebrating three-legged and otherwise handicapped dogs and their families.

Our journey:

The picnic began in 2009 when inspiration struck, giving birth to the event! Our beloved city of San Francisco embraces love for all dogs, and now we're here to celebrate the resilience of handicapped dogs, particularly Tri Paws, fostering diversity and unity within the community. Join us as we spread love, laughter, and pawsitivity, one wag at a time!

The city of San Francisco inspires and reveals many possibilities!

San Francisco stands as a vibrant tapestry of creativity, beckoning dreamers and oddballs alike to its eclectic streets. From the iconic Golden Gate Bridge to the winding alleys of Chinatown, the city's diverse landscapes and cultures fuel an endless wellspring of inspiration. Here, the unconventional is not just tolerated but celebrated, nurturing a fertile ground for artistic exploration and expression. Whether it's the colorful murals of the Mission District or the avant-garde performances in the Castro, San Francisco thrives on pushing boundaries and embracing the unusual. Its pulsating energy and bohemian spirit serve as a constant reminder that in this city, the only limit to creativity is one's imagination.

Now, there are over 50 handicapable pups that come to celebrate at Duboce Park!

  • There is light music, a growing costume parade, and pups showing off their best tricks!

  • Folks enjoy a few hours in the park with their lunches and three legged dogs and otherwise handicapable pups.

  • Prizes, but no contest! Feel free to bring a prize to share for our gatherings. We encourage prizes for humans, as they are the special guardians of these resilient pups. (Honestly, the pups are most likely well supplied with toys at home!)
